Saying that Greg loves different cultures would be an understatement! The Abbotsford youth worker has a passion for all things cross-cultural. In his words, “I love being a student of a new culture and thrive in environments where I am a minority.”
His love for traveling has taken him to many places around the world including taking the TREK program in New Delhi, an internship with Columbia Bible College in Mexico and teaching English in South Korea. He has also gallivanted to Costa Rica, Nepal, China, Japan, and the Philippines.
With his roots in Abbotsford, Greg uses his natural draw towards other cultures by connecting with the South Asian youth of Abbotsford. His day-to-day includes noon-hour support, coaching, attending sports games, and running an afterschool club and drop-in basketball program. He also likes to take his youth on day trips in YU’s 15 passenger van.
Working with Youth Unlimited in Abbotsford is a perfect fit for Greg. “I was attracted to the cross-cultural component of working with South Asian youth in West Abbotsford. I get to do cross-cultural ministry here. Abbotsford is such a unique city!”
Greg and his wife have been married for over 7 years. They enjoy parenting their two-year-old son and their baby daughter.
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.
