“I knew I wanted to work with YU the first moment I toured a youth drop-in centre and saw how the staff went to the teens and loved them where they were.”
There are a few things you need to know about Jen Hubbard: the smell of the ocean is life giving to her, a slurpee soothes her soul, and she plays and coaches soccer. She also likes youth— a lot! This makes the Academic Coordinator position at Lifeteams a great fit for Jen. There she gets to equip front-line youth workers, train staff & volunteers, teach, mentor, and essentially raise up the next generation of youth missionaries in Canada.
“I have the best job in the world! I get to pour into willing and teachable young adults who really want to make a difference in their world.”
Statistics tell us that the investment of one healthy adult in the life of a young person can help them succeed. And this was the case for Jen, who had adults around her encouraging and pushing her to succeed. “My oldest son is nearly a pre-teen and I see the world he’s growing up in. I know he’ll need more than me pouring into him and that motivates me!”
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.
