Feeling her calling to youth ministry from a young age, Kendra volunteered for over 14 years at her church in Prince George; and after graduating from Cedars Christian School, she then moved to Abbotsford to pursue her mission. It was volunteering with YU’s “The Truck” while attending Columbia Bible College that paved the path which brought Kendra on as an intern. She’s currently raising support to start full-time in January 2024.
The Truck runs weekly in Abbotsford, with games to build connections, drinks and snacks to foster a welcoming culture, and a “question of the night” board which Kendra decorates each week (sometimes with the help of curious artsy youth).
An adventurous person with a love for exploring the great outdoors, Kendra spends much of her free time hiking, skiing, or camping. When she’s not outside, Kendra brings her inspiration inside by exploring her artistic flair or making delicious food to enjoy with her friends.
“I believe that youth today desperately need to experience the love of Christ and a positive community with mentors committed to building into them. I have seen firsthand that Youth Unlimited is committed to building long-term relationships with youth and families. I feel called to be a part of this mission and ministry to share the love of Christ and be a vessel for Him to transform lives.”
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.
