Tehya Wiebe

Growing up as a missionary kid in Indonesia, Tehya was familiar with feeling like an outsider no matter which country she was living in. During some dark times in highschool, the principal at her school became a stable and comforting presence to her. “She changed my life,” Tehya says, “I wouldn’t be here without her.”

Now, after graduating from Lifeteams, School of Youth Outreach, Tehya is that safe place for many of the youth that she walks alongside at Jesters Theatre. At Jesters, Tehya is a part of a team that runs theater programs year-round, with Main Stage production, Spring classes, and Summer Theatre Camps. She loves that Jesters accepts youth from different backgrounds, treating them like family. This safe space gives them opportunities to learn from each other and grow as people. Seeing youth draw closer to the heart of Jesus fuels Tehya’s compassion for them. Praying is another avenue of ministry for Tehya and she loves seeing God’s heart through prayer.

On a day off, you can find Tehya going swimming, climbing with her husband, Rahul, or playing with her cat, Fettuccine.
