Wayne was born in Hong Kong but has spent the majority of his life in Vancouver. Growing up in a Christian family, Wayne accepted Christ at an early age and found passion in the fundamental integration of faith in life as the core of discipleship and missions.
Before joining Youth Unlimited, Wayne spends nine years in another local youth organization, utilizing multi-dimensional experiences to mentor and disciple students in high school and university years, preparing, coaching, and mentoring them for their life-long journey in and with Christ.
Wayne believes it is the responsibility of this generation to nurture a better next generation — by caring for our young person’s wholistic being: intellectual, mental, physical, relational, emotional, and spiritual health, learning to live incarnationally as “human persons fully alive”.
“I am a pastor, called to journey with the next generation in all the dimensions of life, in its beauty and also its ugliness, to navigate the different intersections on this journey, and to discover Christ along the way. I am a photographer, learning to continuously see the world
with a different lens, and to appreciate the multifaceted beauty of the world. I am a life coach, striving to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual, their stories and theirdestination, and how each is a wonder carefully crafted and fearfully loved by God.”
Wayne graduated from Regent College with a degree in Master of Arts in Theological Studies. Wayne and his wife, Mandy, are parents to three, Asher, Naomi, and Nevia. He loves creating tasty meals for his family and friends. He also has a heart for art & design, photography, movies, Shakespeare, and jazz. He will squeeze in a good book amidst the
busyness, but there is always, always, time for LEGO.
Together we can transform the world our youth live in—but we can’t do it without you.
