Growing up in a Filipino household and a diverse community in Burnaby, Jen feels equipped to serve among the South Asian community in west Abbotsford. She oversees the girl’s ministry through time spent at the local schools and through one-on-one mentoring, home visits, small group girls’ nights, and day trips in the community. Kathlyn’s quote to live by is “be the person you needed when you were younger.” She is driven by that sentiment every day, and has invested much of her adult life into making it a reality. After graduating high school, Kathlyn became a youth mentor in the youth group she once attended, while also coaching volleyball and attending University.
